Baseball Canada Fall Meetings set for Hamilton, November 16-19

OTTAWA-Delegates from all ten provincial baseball associations including representatives from the coaching, umpiring and administrative areas will join Baseball Canada’s Executive, Board of Directors and office staff in Hamilton from November 16 to 19 for the annual Baseball Canada Fall Meetings.

The four-day gathering coincides with Baseball Ontario’s Annual General Meeting where the organization will celebrate its 100th year in operation. Baseball Canada and Baseball Ontario will have the opportunity to honour their best from 2017 at the Awards Dinner and Gala that will take place at the Grand Ballroom inside Hamilton’s Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, November 18th.

Member retention will be a focus throughout the week along with other topics geared to develop and promote amateur baseball across Canada.

An impressive list of speakers are scheduled to present over the course of the week to provide subject matter expertise to attendees in order to spur discussion and address areas if need.

As part of the awards presentation, Baseball Canada will be handing out the Jimmy Rattlesnake Award and Women’s National Team Most Valuable Player to two WNT athletes. Baseball Canada will also recognize national winners for the Major League Baseball Volunteer of the Year, Lionel Ruhr Memorial Award for Elite Coach of the Year, Dick Willis Memorial Award for Umpire of the Year along with the Province of the Year Award.
