Two days are now complete, with the standings beginning to take shape in the round robin stages of the four Baseball Canada championship tournaments underway.
Action began early once again, with a few Thursday games being made up thanks to inclement weather. Take a look at results, standings, and more below.
18U Championship
Quebec and the host London Badgers are emerging as early favourites in London, Ont. at the 18U tournament. Both teams are 3-0 through Day 2, with two wins coming today.
London began the tournament with a win over Saskatchewan Thursday, and handed Prince Edward Island their first loss of the tournament with a victory Friday morning. They then beat Nova Scotia 3-0. Brendan Johnston and Morgan Palmer combined on the mound for the shutout victory.
It has been a team effort for London, who does not have a player with more than one RBI in either of their Friday wins.

13U Western Championship
High-scoring games were the name of the 13U championship in Spruce Grove, with Sask Five (SK2) opening the day versus North Winnipeg (MB1), winning 15-9. Ethan Campbell notched four RBI for Sask Five, bringing his total up to six on the tournament.
The notable high scores continued – North Winnipeg combined with St. Albert to score 43 runs in their 23-20 victory in game two. There were only three innings where one of these teams did not score runs.

16U Girls Championship
Parity is the name of the game at the 16U girls championships – at this point of the tournament, every team participating has lost at least one game, with the exception of Quebec.
Katie Hagan (PEI) and Kaitlyn Ross (Alberta) are impressing offensively to begin the tournament, notching seven ribbies each for their respective teams.

21U Championship
Gatineau (Host) has proven to be resilient early in the tournament, winning their first game of Friday over Manitoba 4-2.http://clashroyalehackmod.com/
Elsewhere in the tournament, Both Quebec and Windsor (ON1) remained near the top of their divisions, posting wins on the second day of the tournament. Quebec’s Francis Desilets remains in a tie for the tournament RBI lead at six. He is knotted with Kyle Pinksen of Prince Edward Island.
Gatineau then engaged in a late game at Parc Sancartier, where rain forced the first pitch back to 11:30 pm. It was a nail-biter, with Windsor riding an RBI from Colin Robinson in the sixth to win 6-5.
