This full-time, year round baseball instructor/coach position providing coaching and direction for a minor baseball association. The position also supports coaching at the local middle school/high school baseball academy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide year round technical and professional instruction
• Identify potential Provincial and National tournament hosting opportunities for the association
• Supervise and mentor competitive coaching staff
• Supervise and perform general field maintenance
• Network to create post-secondary Baseball opportunities for association players
• Prepare scouting packages
• Facilitate coaching NCCP Coach Certification of our local coaches.
• Plan and execute a Winter Baseball Program for player ranging from the ages of 5-18
• Work with association to develop and implement a coach development plan for local coaches.
• Promote the game of Baseball and the association in local elementary and middle schools
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Baseball Coach or Director of Baseball Academy. 5 Years minimum of Coaching College Level. Playing or Coaching Professionally.
The successful candidate will need a passion for the game of Baseball to share with our local players and coaches. Must have strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
Applicant should be cleared to work in Canada and travel outside the country.
Compensation
The salary is competitive, depending upon qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
