HOW IT HAPPENED

-The juniors opened the scoring with one out in the third as Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, ON) drilled a single up the middle that scored both Darren Shred (Brampton, ON) and Royce Ando (Mississauga, ON). Shred and Ando both drew walks to lead off the inning before Miles Gordon (Oakville, ON) reached on an error to load the bases with nobody out. Later in the inning, with two out, Andrew Yerzy (Toronto, ON) walked to load the bases before JF Garon (Terrebonne, ON) was issued a free pass that brought in Gordon from third.
-The Tigers got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth as reliever Will McAffer (North Vancouver, BC) issued a leadoff walk before a one out double rolled to the wall in left-centre allowing the runner to score from first.
-The juniors didn’t help themselves in the seventh after a pair of errors and a single to right brought in a run before a runner was gunned down at third to end the inning. JF Garon fired to Kobe Hyland (Spruce Grove, AB) who made a nice relay to Peter Hutzal (Calgary, AB) at third who made the tag.
-Andrew Yerzy (Toronto, ON) drew his third walk of the afternoon to lead off the eighth and moved to second base on an errant pick off throw before JF Garon singled to right. With Yerzy on third, a wild pitch that reached the backstop brought him in and Peter Hutzal followed with a double to left-centre that scored Garon.
-In the eighth with the juniors up by 5-2, a three run homer that cleared the wall in left field tied the game. Reliever Nicholas Virdo (Brampton, ON) allowed a one out single before a throwing error from second baseman Royce Ando put two runners on for the Tigers.

JNT HIGHLIGHTS

-For the second consecutive game, Gordon led-off with a hit this time lining single up the middle on a 0-2 count. Kobe Hyland then beat out an infield single but a strikeout and double play ended the inning.
-With a runner on second and one out in the second, the juniors executed a perfect relay after a ball was hit to the gap in left for a base hit. Right fielder JF Garon picked up the ball fired to second baseman Royce Ando who made a perfect throw to catcher Andrew Yerzy who applied the tag on the sliding runner before he touched home plate.
-JNT starter Vincent Beauregard (Laval, QC) was effective during his three-inning outing as he scattered three hits, walked one and struck out three Tigers.
-With the Tigers threatening in the sixth having the bases loaded with two out, right fielder JF Garon made a long run on a high shallow fly ball and dove to make the grab to keep the juniors in the lead.
-Relievers Will McAffer and Nicholas Virdo were both effective with player going three innings on the mound. McAffer allowed one run, two hits and two walks, and struck out three, while Virdo gave up three runs (two earned) on three hits. He managed three strikeouts.
