National Championships awarded to Vaughan and Bedford

OTTAWA- Baseball Canada’s National Championships committee recently awarded national championship events to the communities of Vaughan, ON and Bedford, NS.

A brand new event, the 21U Women’s Invitational, has been added to Baseball Canada’s national championship calendar and the inaugural tournament will be played in Bedford, NS from August 6-10, 2015.

Hosts for all ten Baseball Canada National Championships in 2015 have now been selected with the exception of a host community in the province of Nova Scotia for the 13U National Atlantic championship.

Vaughan, ON was awarded the 16U Girls Invitational event in both 2016 and 2017. Vaughan has a tremendous track record of hosting national championship tournaments as the community has played host to six consecutive 15U Boys national championships and will host their seventh this coming August.

Some 2016 and 2017 National Championships are still looking for hosts.
