Season 2, Baseball Canada Instructional Videos to debut June 13th!

June 9, 2017

OTTAWA- Baseball Canada is pleased to announce that Season 2 of the instructional video series is set to launch on June 13th with multiple videos scheduled to be unveiled each week until the beginning of August.

In 2016, Baseball Canada introduced the instructional video series that covered important baseball topics like fielding ground balls, throwing mechanics, hitting load, leads and proper sliding techniques. The videos provided coaches, athletes and parents with a knowledge base to improve their understanding the game while learning from some of the top baseball minds in the country.

For the second consecutive year, former pro and ex national team player, Marc Griffin appears in the series to provide instruction in French, while former national team coach Marty Lehn handles the English instruction.

The sacrifice bunt, pitchers’ pick-off moves, turning a double play and the delayed steal are just some of the many baseball topics that are covered in the 2017 series.

The instructional video series compliments our vlog series, also in season 2, that has been running, weekly since March.

“Two years ago we noticed a demand for this type of content so we’re happy to bring our members both the vlog and instructional video series’,” said André Lachance, Baseball Canada Business and Sport Development Director. “The videos are designed to give coaches and athletes additional information that they can incorporate into their practices and game strategies.”

Like the vlog series, the instructional videos will be released through Baseball Canada’s Facebook and Twitter channels.
