Women's National Team program to host identification camps

OTTAWA- Baseball Canada’s Women’s National Team program will hold two identification camps this fall that are open to players 14 years of age and older.

The camps, that will take place in Vancouver and Saskatoon, will be used to identify and evaluate candidates for future editions of the Women’s National Team. Players with baseball and/or softball experience are encouraged to attend.

Women’s National Team Manager, André Lachance will be attending both camps and is hoping for a good turnout.

“I strongly encourage players to come out and show their skills,” he said. “In previous years, players that have attended have put themselves on the National Team radar and we’ve been able to follow their progress.”

The first camp will take place in Vancouver, BC on Tuesday, October 27th at the brand new UBC Baseball Indoor Training Centre (Address: 3085 Wesbrook Mall, Phone: 604-822-5770).

Players are asked to arrive by 7:30pm with the camp set to run from 8-10pm.

The second camp is scheduled for Friday, November 6th at Going Yard Training Center in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Address: 1902 Alberta Ave, Phone: 306-954-1544).
