WUBC Starts July 30th

OTTAWA- The World University Baseball Championships start on July 30th and run until August 7th in Tokyo, Japan.

Team Canada is coached by Todd Plaxton (Saskatoon, SK) and will compete in a pool with other countries: USA, Sri Lanka and Chinese Taipei. Plaxton expects his team to be very competitive.

““We should be very solid, I expect that we should cross over and hopefully play for a medal,” says Plaxton.

The other countries represented in the event include: China, Korea, Japan and Cuba.

Canada’s first game of the tournament will take place on July 30th as they take on Chinese Taipei.
