One thing that is known for sure is that the 2006 Pee Wee AAA National Final will be a battle between east and west, as finalists will emerge from the "Western" semi-final between Alberta and host Victoria, and another from the "Eastern" semi-final between neighbouring Provinces Ontario and Quebec.
Alberta had a Saturday to remember at the Championships, winning two close games to capture the division title. They will play host Victoria, who looked very strong in compiling their 4-1 record in Pool A.
Quebec rolled through Pool A with a 5-0 record, easily winning all games, but will no doubt be in tough against a powerful Ontario squad that features some of the biggest and oldest looking 12 and 13 year olds seen in quite sometime.
Semi-final action begins at 11:30 am Sunday. The Championship final is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
