Ontario (1) 6 BC 5

Ontario 1 scored three runs in the top of the seventh and defeated BC 6-5 to earn a berth in the semi-finals. Travis Black (London, ON) and Jon Celestino (London, ON) each had two RBI’s while Cam Firth (London, ON) hit a three-run homer for BC.

Nova Scotia 6 Newfoundland 0

Nova Scotia scored five times in the first inning which was more than enough runs to shutout Newfoundland 6-0. Gary Strowbridge (Cole Harbour, NS) had a single in the first that scored two runs and Alex Ostrov (Timberlea, NS) tossed a complete-game two-hitter for the win.

Manitoba 2 New Brunswick 1

Nathan Christiuk’s (Dufrost, MB) run scoring ground-out in the fifth proved to be the winning run as Manitoba edged New Brunswick 2-1.

Placement games saw Newfoundland beat New Brunswick 4-1 to claim the 9th spot; BC defeat Saskatchewan 4-1 to earn 7th place and Nova Scotia beat Manitoba 10-8 to earn 5th place.
