Trois-Rivières, August 19th 2010. - The 2010 Baseball Canada Pepsi Junior Championship resumed at Fernand-Bédard Stadium, with a game pinning Nova Scotia against Team Quebec. Managed by Saguenay’s Robert Fatal, the team representing the host province didn’t disappoint, blanking the Maritimers 8-0.
Scoreless after one inning, the floodgates opened in the bottom of the second. Jean-François Hamel with a single, and Dany Deschamps with a double, both drove-in two runs. Michael Page hit an RBI double, and he scored on a Nicolas Loiseau single, Loiseau had scored earlier on an error by the leftfielder. Thierry Vallières was hit by pitcher Shain Beaudreau with the bases loaded, for another run.
Fatal’s squad almost put an end to the game, in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, runners Nicolas Loiseau at third and Kevin Tremblay at second, Tommy Tremblay and Guillaume Aubin struck out, to end the inning. In the same situation in the sixth, Nicolas Loiseau grounded out.
