Émilie Laliberté (Granby, QC) hit a solo homerun in the 1st inning and later added two more RBI’s as Québec sailed to an 11-2 victory over Alberta at the Bantam Girl’s championship in Richmond, BC. Québec scored runs in all but one inning and took advantage of eight Alberta errors to add to their lead. Elisabeth Auger (Québec City, QC) had a solid performance on the mound as she lasted 5 2/3 innings, scattering six hits while striking out five batters. Alberta was led offensively by Taylor Luchanski (Lethbridge, AB) who was 2-for-3 and also scored a run.BC staked their claim as a contender at the Bantam Girl’s championship in Richmond, BC as they sailed to a 13-3 victory over Nova Scotia. In the 1st inning BC got out to an early 3-0 lead when Avery Hutton (North Vancouver, BC) scored on a wild-pitch which was followed by RBI singles from Maryse Garcia (Surrey, BC) and Hailee Renkers (Surrey, BC). BC would add to their lead in both the 2nd and 3rd innings by scoring four runs in each frame. On the mound Lexie Brennis (Delta, BC) tossed three no-hit innings and struck out six to earn the victory. Nova Scotia got on the board in the 5th with two runs and scored another in the 6th on an RBI single from Jenna-Marie Burns (Sackville, NS). BC put two more runs across in the top of the 7th and Tamara Derby (Coquitlam, BC0 pitched a scoreless 7th inning to secure the win.

Breanne Wilson-Bennett (Markham, ON) was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in leading Ontario to a 10-0 mercy rule win over Richmond.

BC continued their dominance in tournament as they beat Saskatchewan soundly 21-8. Several BC players had good performances at the plate, but the most impressive was Sydney Elrick (Surrey, BC) who was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI. For Saskatchewan, Lacy Jurke (Maidstone, SK) was 3-for-4 with an RBI.
