Chatham is set to kick things off the tournament on Wednesday evening of August 24th with a home run derby to be held at Ironmen Field. Tournament action will begin on Thursday August 25th and will finish up on Sunday August 28th (August 29th rain date). All games will be played between The Waldo Henderson Field (Chatham Head) and Ironmen Field (Chatham). For a complete schedule and list of teams check out the schedule page:
Tournament passes can be purchased at both Beaubear Credit Union locations on the the Miramichi, as well as at Family Convenience Ltd. located on Wellington Street, or at the Ironmen canteen during any Chatham Ironmen home game. The price of an Adult tournament pass is $50, while Student/Senior tournament passes cost $40. Day passes can also be purchased for $15 regardless of age.
Home Run Derby on Wednesday
In addition to the games starting on Thursday there is a special night on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
There is a home run hitting contest where each team selects their best batter and we have a contest beginning at 7:30 pm. There will also be music with all venues open for those in attendance. This is something that we are having for the first time at one of our national tournaments.
Parking
All public traffic requiring PARKING is requested to come to the tournament by using St. Thomas Street (across from the Lord Beaverbrook Arena), and continue to the parking area in the Back MAEA lot. Parking attendants will be at the MAEA lot to direct traffic. John Street and Pine Street will be restricted to one way traffic, south on Pine & north on John, for residential and tournament personnel only. Ample signage will be posted to direct traffic.
