Greetingsfrom Moncton New Brunswick, proud home of the Baseball Canada Cup Championship! Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be great one. Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Moncton will be an enjoyable one.

TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials)

Teams must arrive in Moncton by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011.

Players and Coaches are asked to be at the Opening Banquet at the Moncton Lions Club starting at 6:00 PM Tuesday, August 9^th. (Complimentary for Players, Coaches & Managers).

Accommodations for players are as follows: Four players per room inclusive August 9^th – 15^th. Accommodations for teams & officials have been arranged at the Delta Beausejour. Seven double rooms per team will be provided.  

All arranged accommodations are available from Tuesday August 9^th until Monday August 15th. Should teams wish to arrive earlier or stay longer it will be at their own expense. If you do plan on arriving early please contact Mike Doucette via email at mike15@nb.sympatico.ca OR phone 506-866-6436.

All teams and officials will fly into Greater Moncton International Airport to provide you with a prompt transportation to and from the airport.

Daily meal buffets will be available to all teams/umpires from the Hotel Beausejour at a special rate. We will be sending each team a copy of the buffet options available to you and a contact for you to make arrangements if you choose to use this option.

All games will be played at Kiwanis Park in Moncton and Harold Page Field in Riverview (Both fields have lighting). There will be washrooms and concessions available at both ball fields. Practice fields are available and bookings can be made on a first come first served basis through Mike Doucette by email mike15@nb.sympatico.ca or phone 506-866-6436.

MEETINGS:

The Pre-Championship Meeting is scheduled for 9:00 PM Tuesday August 9th. Each team is permitted only to send two reps per team and their Chef de Mission.

UMPIRES

Umpires should arrive in Moncton by 3:00 PM on Tuesday August 9^th.

Umpires are asked to be at the Opening Banquet at the Moncton Lions Club starting at 6:00 PM Tuesday August 9^th.

Accommodations for Umpires have been arranged at the Delta Beausejour. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available and paid by the host committees from August 9^th to August 15^th (inclusive). Individual umpires must arrange and cover costs for earlier arrival and later departures. Contact Mike Doucette at mike15@nb.sympatico.ca or 506-866-6436 if you will be arriving earlier.

Transportation has been arranged for pick up and drop off at the airport and to and from both ball fields during the championship for all umpires. Umpires will receive a Meal Per Diem at your pre-tournament meeting which is Tuesday August 9^th at approximately 9:45 PM at the Delta Hotel from the Host Committee.

SCOUTS:

If you are planning on attending the Canada Cup as a scout you will need to pre-register by email with Gerry LeBlanc at gleblanc27@gmail.com

GUESTS:

Arrangements for accommodations can be made through the Delta Beausejour Hotel call 1-506-854-4344 or 1-888-351-7666. There is a block of rooms set aside for family at a rate of $119 per night. This price is in effect until July 9^th. When you call to book a room, inform them that you are going to be in town for the Canada Cup or use the block code: 0811 PARE.

Game ticket prices are as follows: Tournament Pass $50.00, Day Pass $15.00, Evening Pass $10.00 12& Under Free when accompanied by an adult. Tournament Passes will go on sale June 6^th.
