“Team Action Required”

The Medicine Hat Canada Cup Society requires the following information:

• • Team Participation confirmed with payment for food service (particulars included in package)
• • Number of people on team including coaches and managers, etc
• • If your team will be arriving on your own coach and the date and time of arrival
• • Date and time your team will be flying into Calgary and on what flight number
• • Teams requiring English and French speaking announcers at their games
• • Teams wanting to schedule practice times, please indicate when you would like these scheduled
• • For your lunch please review the attached schedule and advise us if you would like lunch bags
brought to you and the days will you require this
• • Team rosters are needed with team pictures for media coverage by June 30, 2006
• • If your team requires a Bat Boy

Opening Ceremonies/Teams Arriving/Opening BBQ

August 16, 2006
4:00 pm All teams to arrive in Medicine Hat no later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 to register at Hotels and be at the Pioneer Village between 4:00-5:30 pm.

4:00-6:00 pm Registration

6:00 pm Banquet: All teams are to be in attendance for BBQ Location: Pioneer Village Exhibition & Stampede In case of inclement weather the Cypress Centre will be used, next to the Pioneer Village

8:00 pm General meeting for coaches and umpires after the BBQ in the Sierra Room at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Cypress Centre

August 17, 2006
7:00 pm Opening Ceremonies: all teams to be in uniform at the Athletic Park by 6:30 pm. Meet at the side access gate to diamond by 3rd base line. Provincial flags will be supplied.

Team Information Package
Meal Allowances

Meals for each team will be supplied by Shooting Star Catering (Stan Sakamoto). The cost is $25/person. Payment for team participation must be in by June 30, 2006. Send cheque to the Medicine Hat Baseball Canada Cup Society at 413 6th Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 2S7.

Lunch bags will be supplied for teams who are unable to get back to the venue between games. The host families allocated to each team will pick up these lunch bags for the team.

Bus Pick up at the hotels and diamonds for teams will be there for breakfast and dinner at the Medicine Hat College.
Host families will be allocated to each team; they will meet you at the BBQ on August 16, 2006.

Passes

Tournament passes are $32 each and can be ordered on the website at www.bccmedhat.com or at the Medicine Hat News

Diamonds

Two games diamonds will be used:

• •• Jefferies Park

Bus Services

Bus service will be provided to the banquet and opening/closing ceremonies by your hotel. Teams getting to and from hotels and diamonds will be supplied as per schedule.

Photography

Active photos will be taken of teams with an onsite display for you to view the photos and purchase your favorite action shots

Media Coverage
EAR Lug Countdown will start May 1st in the Medicine Hat News. Look on the website at www.bccmedhat.com (Start date is May, 2006)

Team profiles will appear in the sports section of the Medicine Hat News effective August 3rd; however we need the profiles and pictures in by June 30 to allow participation in this coverage.

Roster profiles, schedules, venues and events will be included in the official program available for sale at the diamonds.
“Batter Up” 16 page tabloid features scores, highlights, statistics and stories from the previous day to be published each day.
