Teams must arrive in Victoria by 3:00 pm on Wednesday August 23rd, 2006

All players, coaches, managers and provincial representatives will be housed in residence at the University of Victoria. One to four players will be placed per room depending on the building. In July lists of the room assignments will be forwarded to each provincial association. All teams are required to stay at the University from Wednesday August 23rd and departing Tuesday August 29th.

All accommodations have been arranged for six (6) nights from Wednesday August 23rd to Monday August 28th with team departures on the morning of Tuesday August 29th. Teams that choose to arrive prior to August 23rd or stay after August 28th are responsible for the extra costs incurred. If you require accommodation prior to, or after the specified dates please contact the Tournament Director Carol Ogborne

We encourage all teams and officials to fly into Victoria International Airport to enable us to provide you with prompt transportation from Victoria International Airport to the University. Buses will transport all teams and coaching staff from the airport to their accommodation at the University.

Flying into Vancouver International Airport may be contemplated by some teams. Although this is an option, it is not recommended. Teams choosing this option (terminating their flight in Vancouver) will require an additional four (4) hours of travel time --- the estimated time to travel from Vancouver International to Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and then board a ferry to Swartz Bay Terminal on Vancouver Island. The host organization will only pickup teams at the Swartz Bay Ferry terminal or at the Victoria International Airport. We will not pick-up teams at the Vancouver International Airport.

Teams could arrange their own bus service from Vancouver International Airport that will take them to the ferry and to downtown Victoria. In this case, our shuttle buses will meet the parties at the downtown bus depot and transport you to the University.

Teams may also choose to walk-on as foot passengers at Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. The host committee will have a shuttle bus that will transport teams from Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to the University. Ferry schedules are available on the BC Ferries Website.

Players, coaches, managers and provincial representatives will be provided dinner on August 23rd at the Welcome Barbeque. Breakfast at the University will also be provided.

All other meals are the responsibility of each player, coach, manager. and provincial representative. The Host Committee will provide discount coupons for use at eating establishments in the neighborhood.

All games will be played at Carnarvon Park (east and west diamonds) and Lambrick Park. Practice fields will be available at Lambrick Park and Allenby Park on a first-come first-serve basis and on the grounds of the University.

A schedule for practice times at Lambrick Park will be posted on this tournament website at a later date.
