Baseball Canada Ray Carter Cup 15U Boys Championship 
Oshawa, Ontario August 22-25, 2019 


A sincere welcome from Baseball Oshawa OLMBA and Oshawa, Ontario, proud home of the Ray Carter Cup 15U Boys Baseball Championships. Plans are all set to ensure this year’s championship will be great one. Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Oshawa and the Durham Region will be an enjoyable one. 

TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials) 
ACCREDITATIONS

Teams must send official team roster (players, coaches and chef de mission) Uniform #, name, Hometown
and also send a team photo in a jpeg file to Scott Dennis by August 14th via e-mail  scott.dennis@dc-uoit.ca

Teams are requested to arrive in Oshawa by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019. 

Players and Coaches are asked to be at the National Championship Welcome Barbecue at Durham College starting at 6:30 p.m.  August 21st, 2019. (Complimentary for Players, Coaches & Manager). Right on site a accommodations location. Teams are reminded that team pictures are taken at this time so teams are encouraged to wear team attire. 

ACCOMMODATION

Teams are will be staying at the Durham College Residence & Conference Centre. 2000 Simcoe St. North on the campus of Durham College in Oshawa.
All arranged accommodations are available from your arrival on Wednesday, August 21st to your departure date.

Each team will be provided 7 rooms at no cost. Additional rooms are available at the team’s cost. Please contact Melissa Leathley to confirm your accommodations no later than August 12th via e-mail. mleathley@stayrcc.com

Umpires will be staying at separate Simcoe Village Campus Residence 2000 Simcoe St. North on the campus of Durham College in Oshawa.

TRANSPORTATION

We will be providing ground transportation to all teams and officials that fly into Toronto Pearson International Airport from the Airport to Oshawa and return on departure day. Toronto airport to Oshawa is roughly a 45 minute drive along the Highway 401. Teams need to provide their travel details for pick up and drop off at the airport if flying in. GAMES

All games will be played at the Kinsmen Civic Memorial Stadium
Clarington SW and Ritson Field


(All fields have lights). Kinsmen Stadium will seat 2000 fans along with washrooms, food services, concessions stands including food and photos. Practice fields are available and bookings can be made on a first come first served basis through Jamie Baker (905) 914-0694 or via e-mail Jamie.baker@durhamcollege.ca

OPENING CEREMONIES

Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 6:00pm on Thursday, August 22nd. All teams are expected to be on site by 5:30pm to be ready in uniform for the opening ceremony. The ceremony will take place at Kinsmen Civic Memorial Stadium.   Further details will be communicated to the teams at the coaches pre-play meeting. The ceremony will include English and French scripts.



MEETINGS 

The Pre-Championship Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21st starting at 8:30pm (TENTATIVE) at Durham College. Each team chef is to be present, and teams can have coaches attend. CRWC Athletic Centre Board room G2021

MEALS 

Below you will find the meal details for the U15 Nationals:
 
Continental Breakfast: $4.25/person + 13% tax
Hot Breakfast: $9.09/person + 13% tax
Lunch buffet: $13.09/person + 13% tax
Dinner buffet: $16.70/person + 13% tax
 
Please note that continental breakfast does not need to be pre-booked – teams can make a point of sale purchase at the dining hall each morning.  All other meals (hot breakfast, lunch and dinner) will need to be pre-booked no later than Wednesday, August 14th.  Contact person is Melissa Leathley

UMPIRES

Umpires should arrive in Oshawa by 4:00 p.m. on August 21st, 2019

National Championship Welcome Barbecue at Durham College starting at 6:30 p.m. August 21st, 2019 Accommodations for Umpires have been arranged at Simcoe Village Residence on Campus at Durham College. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available and paid by the host committee from August 21 to departure. Individual umpires must arrange and cover costs for earlier arrival and later departures.

Transportation has been arranged to and from the airport for all umpires. 
The time and location of the Umpire Meeting is to be determined.
