Baseball Canada 2010 Canada Cup

Greetingsfrom Kindersley, Sask. proud organizer for the 2010 Canada Cup – our 2^nd year.  Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be another great one. Kindersley will also be celebrating our 100^th birthday this year. Come Celebrate!

Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Kindersley will be an enjoyable one.

TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials) 

Teams must arrive in Kindersley by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday,  August 10, 2010. 

Players and Coaches will be picked up at their hotels, and drove to the Elks Hall for a banquet. (Complimentary for Players, Coaches & Manager). Approx. 6:00 p.m.

For players & coaches (24 people per team) - will be booked at the following hotels:

 Kindersley Inn, Super 8 & Nova Inn.    All arranged accommodations are available from Tuesday, August 10 to Monday, August 16, 2010 (7 nights). Should teams wish to arrive earlier or stay longer it will be at their own expense.  

We encourage all teams and officials to fly into Saskatoon Airport, Plans will be made to ensure teams & officials are picked up at the Saskatoon Airport on their arrival and will be returned prior to their departure.

In addition, transportation arrangements have been made for the umpires for travel to and from their motel to the ball diamonds prior to their assigned games. Teams who are housed in a couple of the hotels (will involve 3 teams) will be transported to & from the ball diamonds for their games.

All games will be played at the Berard & Flanagan Fields (Berard field has lighting). The park seats 2,300 people and has many washrooms, food services. Practice fields are available & a schedule will be provided on arrival. 

MEETINGS:

The Pre-Championship Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 10 starting at 8:30pm at Kindersley  Inn. Each team is permitted only to send two (2) reps per team and their provincial representative.

 UMPIRES: Umpires should arrive in Kindersley by 5:00 p.m. on August 10, 2010. 

Umpires are asked to be at the Elks Hall starting at 6:00 p.m. August 10, 2010

Accommodations for Umpires have been arranged at Arbour Ridge. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available and paid by the host committees from August 10 to August 16 (Inclusive). Individual umpires must arrange and cover costs for earlier arrival and later departures. Transportation has been arranged to and from the airport and during the championship for all umpires. Umpires will receive a Meal Per Diem from the Host Committee upon arrival at the championship.  

GUESTS

Our hotels will fill up fast, but don’t worry the residents of Kindersley are offering a bed & breakfast from their homes for approx. $100.00/night. The committee has several homes lined up to provide accommodations for the parents. Parents from 2009 had a wonderful time staying at these homes. If you are interested in this type of accommodations email: place2stay09@gmail.com and we will arrange a home for you.

Don’t stay home cause you don’t have a bed!!!! 

Closing Ceremonies will be held at Berard Field after the final game. 

Game tickets prices are as follows: Day Pass $10.00 or Week Pass $40.00 available at the door.
