Greetings from the 2019 Baseball Canada 13U National Atlantic Championships Organizing Committee!

 

We are pleased to welcome you to Dartmouth this summer! Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be great one. Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Dartmouth will be an enjoyable one. Once again, the Dartmouth Arrows PeeWee AAA team are very pleased to be your hosts for this year’s Baseball Canada 13U National Atlantic Championships.

Arrival: Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 4:00 pm

Pre-Tournament Meeting – Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 7pm – Dartmouth Best Western - 15 Spectacle Lake Drive Google map - Beaujolais 1

Team Photos – Information regarding all photography for teams will be provided prior to the tournament.

Home Run Derby – Friday, September 13, 2019 at 8pm - Greenough 1

Opening and Closing Ceremonies

Opening Ceremonies will take place on September 12, 2019 at 7:00pm at Greenough 1

Closing Ceremonies will take place on September 15, 2019 at 3pm at Greenough Field 1 following the Gold Medal Game

Transportation

For umpires travelling via airlines, transportation will be provided from the airport to the host hotel. Game day shuttles for umpires will be provided to and from the venue before and after games. If umpires plan on using their own bus, or other transportation please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. Teams are responsible fror their own transportation.

Fields

The venue for the 2019 Baseball Canada 13U National Atlantic Championships is Greenough Fields – 188 Mount Edward Road, Dartmouth, NS

The map points you to the adjacent basketball fields. There are two parking lots available off of Mount Edward Road. However, these lots are small and spaces are are limited. We highly encourage you to park in the neighbourhood streets as able.

Tickets/Tournament passes are available at the gates and are also for pre-purchase.

Day passes - $10

Tournament pass - $35

Family Pass for Players families (two adults + kids over 16) - $75

Kids under 16 - free

Opening Ceremonies

Opening Ceremonies will begin at 7pm on Thursday, September 12th, or immediately after the 5pm game between NB 2 and PEI 2.

The teams will be marched in and around the field. Muster point will be communicated at the tournament. Please note, our special guests for Opening Ceremonies are kids from the Challenger Baseball Program. One player and his/her buddy will be throwing the Opening pitch and another will be marching in with the Canada Flag. If your player(s) are not familiar with the Challenger program, please provide some education and let them know these kids are very excited to take part and everyone expects all of our teams to treat them with respect.

Home Run Derby 

Friday, September 13th at 8pm - Greenough 1 Field

Team should be at field 30 minutes prior to start of competition. Each team will assign one hitter for competition. 

Winner will receive a bat from the Home Run Derby Sponsor DoveTail bats https://dovetailbat.com/

 

Admission Canteen and Concessions

Admission fees:

Kids U16 - free

Adults $10 per day, $35 for tournament pass; $70 family max

Cash, Mastercard and Debit will be accepted at the admission gate.

Canteen tickets will be sold at the admissions desk. Tickets are $1 for 1; $10 for 12; $20 for 23. The canteen will only accept tickets. 

A canteen serving hot dogs and hamburgers, chips, pop/gatorade etc.. will be available all weekend. A special chili lunch will be served on Thursday at lunch.

Merchandise sales will include Trimar13U Atlantics clothing and hats and Baseball Canada Clothing.

 

Parking

Parking is available at the field but is limited. Parking on neighbouring streets will likely be necessary.
