OTTAWA – Baseball Canada’s last National Championship of the season came to a close on Sunday as Dartmouth defeated the host Yarmouth to earn gold. Last year’s National Champions Summerside won bronze with their win over Mount Pearl.
OTTAWA – Four more round-robin games were played Saturday afternoon and evening. The standings are just about set for Sunday’s medal round with only two match-ups to settle before semi-finals. Teams spent the day battling hard to give themselves the best possible chance at a medal.
OTTAWA – Some of Atlantic Canada’s most talented young baseball players took the field in Yarmouth, NS on Friday and Saturday for Baseball Canada’s 13U National Atlantic Championship. The two first match-ups of the tournament were played on Friday, but the rest of the day’s competition was postponed until Saturday due to rain.
OTTAWA – Baseball Canada has one more National Championship left in store for fans. With 8 of 9 gold medals already handed out, the last one of the year will be on the line at this week’s 13U National Atlantic Championship.
Baseball Canada is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Michelle McRae, wife of Canisius College Baseball Head Coach, Mike McRae. Mike has also been a coach with Baseball Canada’s National Team program in the past.

OSAKA, Japan – A one out RBI single in the bottom of the eighth from Team USA’s Blake Rutherford brought in the go-ahead run and they would go on to add three more in the inning en route to a 9-5 win over Canada.
OSAKA, Japan – Josh Burgmann (Nanaimo, BC) struck out ten batters and Canada’s offence exploded for ten runs on 15 hits as they earned a 10-3 win over Australia at the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.
OSAKA, Japan – Japan’s Sena Sato went the distance and struck out 13, while his offense used a three-run third inning en route to a 5-2 win over Canada as the Super Round (second round) opened at the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.
OSAKA, Japan -It did not look pretty for eight and a half innings, but in the end Canada overcame a four-run deficit and scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth to win 11-10 and avoid a loss against winless South Africa.
