OTTAWA- With the completion of the DQ® 13U National Western, 18U and 21U men’s National Championships last weekend, four more Baseball Canada Championships are set to kick off tomorrow including a bit of history being made at one of the events.
They’re celebrating in White Rock, British Columbia along with London and Mississauga in Ontario as all three communities clinched Baseball Canada National Championship gold medals today.
The gold and bronze medal match-ups have been decided at the DQ® 13U National Western Championship in Brandon, Manitoba while playoff and medal games are still yet-to-be determined at the 18U National in Fort McMurray, Alberta and the 21U Men’s Championship in St. Thomas, Ontario.
For fans in St. Thomas, Brandon and Fort McMurray there was plenty of baseball on the day as three different Baseball Canada National Championship events kicked into high gear as play moves into the weekend.
DQ® 13U National Western Championship
OTTAWA- Action at three different Baseball Canada National Championships will begin on Thursday, August 16thand run through Sunday, August 19thincluding the DQ® 13U National Western Championship in Brandon, Manitoba, the 18U Championship in Fort McMurray, Alberta and the 21U Men’s Championships in St. Thomas, Ontario.
For the ninth time in history, Ontario is the gold medal winner at the Baseball Canada Cup featuring 17U all-star provincial teams.
For the second time in three years Québec are gold medal winners at the 21U Women’s Invitational Championships.
Host New Brunswick and Ontario will meet in tomorrow’s first semi-final match-up after both squads clinched first place in their respective pools earlier today at the Baseball Canada Cup in Moncton.
Fans in Stonewall, Manitoba were treated some tremendous baseball at the 21U Women’s Invitational as semi-final games were played.
