Baseball Canada is excited to announce the addition of the Bob Elliott Media Recognition Award to our group of national awards recognizing individuals who have made a positive impact to Baseball Canada and its member provinces at a national, provincial or local level.
To be eligible for this award, the coach must have made a positive, long-time contribution to coaching baseball in Canada at the local, Provincial, National and/or International level, be in good standing with with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and have demonstrated outstanding leadership, performance and guidance as a baseball coach throughout their coaching career.
The Baseball Canada Event Recognition Award is handed out annually to a community, group or organization that has hosted a baseball event that has benefitted the baseball community or delivered a baseball experience in a unique fashion to the greater community. Events considered can include but are not limited too: a tournament, coach/officials clinic or convention, player development experience, convention bringing baseball communities together, a fundraiser.
The Baseball Canada Coach Developer Award is handed out annually to an individual who has demonstrated commitment and excellency in the delivery of NCCP coach education to baseball coaches in their residing province.
The Baseball Canada Umpire Developer Award is a new award handed out annually to an individual who has demonstrated commitment and excellency in the delivery of umpire education as part of the National Umpires Certification Program.
The Baseball Canada Volunteer of the Year Award was created in 2001 to recognize the contribution of the most dedicated, enthusiastic person who has devoted at least ten years of volunteering within their provincial association.
