GOLD COAST, Australia-The Junior National Team exploded for four runs in the top of the eighth to break a scoreless tie and they went onto a 6-1 win over Australia in pre-worlds exhibition play.

Ottawa, ON – In Bantam 16U Girls action, provincial nemesis’s Ontario and Québec will face-off in Sunday’s final.  Québec, picked up their sixth win in six games on Saturday, has been rolling throughout the tournament led by an offense that has roughed up every pitcher they have faced.  Ontario comes into Sunday’s final with a 4-2 record and will look to give everything they have to limit Québec’s offense.

Ottawa, ON – Both the 13U Peewee Western’s and Senior Men’s National Championships had two games each to start on Friday morning.  Action will pick up during the afternoon where a total of twelve games will be played to mark the halfway point of the respective tournaments.

GOLD COAST, Australia-The day did not start very well for the Junior National Team as they dropped a 9-6 decision to Riseisha College in the afternoon before defeating Australia 4-3 this evening in what was perhaps their finest effort thus far of the pre-worlds selection camp exhibition series.

Ottawa, ON – Folks in Vaughan, Ontario, woke up to gloomy skies, meanwhile in Bedford, Nova Scotia, the sun was shining bright to kick off a beautiful day for baseball.  Windsor, Ontario saw a mix of sun and cloud to kick off their day, while games in Spruce Grove, Alberta, do not begin until 1:00p.m. MDT (3:00p.m. ET).
