OTTAWA- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern League are the double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays and have seven members of their team heading to the Eastern League All Star game. Two members of the team selected to the game are Canadians Shawn Bowman (Port Moody, BC) and Trystan Magnuson (Vancouver, BC).

OTTAWA- CIS along with Baseball Canada has released the roster that will represent Canada at the World University Baseball Championship being held in Tokyo, Japan from July 30th – August 5th. The event includes 8 countries that will vie for a world championship.
OTTAWA- Baseball Manitoba has reason to celebrate as Executive Director Morgan de Pena has been inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame. The honour was presented June 5th at the 14th annual induction ceremony. Mr. de Pena was inducted as both a player and a builder as his impact on the sport in Manitoba has been felt in both areas.
OTTAWA- Canadians Brett Lawrie (Langley, BC), Trystan Magnuson (Vancouver, BC) and Philippe Valiquette (Montreal, QC) have all been chosen to represent Canada in the MLB Futures Game taking place July 11th in Anaheim, CA.

TORONTO- Baseball Canada elected its new executive and board of directors at its annual general meeting this weekend in Toronto.
OTTAWA- Junior National Team member Dalton Pompey (Mississauga, ON) has agreed to terms with the Toronto Blue Jays. The Jays selected the outfielder in the 16th round 486th overall.
OTTAWA- Baseball PEI has recently gone through a major change at the top of its provincial office. Fresh off a seven year stint with Sport PEI as its Multi-Sport Executive Director is Glenn Flood, who is anxious to get familiar in his new post as Executive Director of Baseball PEI.
