San Juan, Puerto Rico- Canada was forced to endure yet another rain delay, but its significance was minimal as they cruised to a 10-1 drubbing of the Netherlands Antilles. Adam Stern (London, ON) hit a three-run homer to open the scoring in the second inning and Jamie Romak (London, ON) hit a two-run shot in the sixth inning to pace Canada offensively.

Ponce, Puerto Rico- Adam Loewen (Surrey, BC) hit a mammoth two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to give Canada a walk-off 13-2 mercy victory over Argentina. Loewen finished the game going 3 for 5 with three runs scored and five RBI’s. The win improves Canada’s record to two wins and one loss in the first round of the Pan Am Games qualification tournament.
Mayaguez, Puerto Rico-Pete Orr (Richmond Hill, ON) hit a ball that caromed off the shortstop and into left field which allowed Jonathan Malo (Joliette, QC) to score the go-ahead run and Canada held off Nicaragua to win their opening game of the Pan Am Qualifying tournament 7-6. After the start of the game was delayed by an hour, it took another six hours for the game to be completed as a two hour rain delay halted the game after three innings.
Ponce, Puerto Rico- Venezuela scored three runs in the top of the sixth to go ahead for good as Canada lost their first game of the Pan Am Qualifying tournament by a score of 5-3. For the second consecutive game, Canada was forced to sit through a lengthy rain delay (one and a half hours) after the game had already started. The game was stopped with Canada leading 2-0 and after Canadian starter Nick Bucci (Sarnia, ON) had worked his second straight scoreless frame.
