OTTAWA-Tomorrow at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Toronto, Ray Carter will tend to his final order of business as President of Baseball Canada, the Annual General Meeting. As they say, all good things must come to an end and after 16 years in the role, the longest of any of the nine previous presidents, it is time to step away says the Tsawwassen, BC native who will not run for re-election.

OTTAWA- The Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft resumed today with rounds three through ten that saw seven Canadians taken. After Cal Quantrill (Port Hope, ON) and Andrew Yerzy (Toronto, ON) were selected on day one, a total of nine Canadians have now been drafted with rounds 11-40 slated for the third and final day tomorrow (Noon ET).

OTTAWA- Junior National Team catcher Andy Yerzy (Toronto, ON) was selected 52nd overall in the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday night. He becomes the first current member of the Junior National Team program to be selected in the 2016 draft.
