WELCOME TO WINDSOR
The Windsor Mic-Mac Club has hosted three World Youth Championships along with numerous provincial and national championships. This year the Mic-Mac Club has partnered with Game Day Sports in hosting the Memorial Cup of Baseball, the National Junior Baseball Championship.
TEAMS: (Players, Coaches, Team Officials)
Teams must arrive in Windsor by 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Players, Coaches and Managers are asked to attend the opening banquet at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 17 at the Holiday Inn & Suites.
ACCOMMODATIONS: (Players & Staff) are as follows;
Four players per room (inclusive August, 17-22.) Accommodations for teams and officials have been arranged at the Holiday Inn & Suites, 1855 Huron Church Rd, Windsor, ON (located one mile from the playing fields. In total seven double rooms per team will be provided.
NOTE: Should teams arrive earlier or choose to stay longer, it will be at their own expense. If you plan on arriving early, please contact Bernie Soulliere at berniebaseball@cogeco.ca or (519) 735-2028. Also please advise if you are flying or bussing. All teams and officials will fly in to Windsor Airport.
DAILY MEALS: Will be available at the Holiday Inn. Daily specials will be available. There are also a variety of fast food outlets within walking distance of the hotel ie: Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, KFC, Wendy’s, Sub Way, Swiss Chalet, Tim Horton’s.
PARKS: All games will be played in the Mic-Mac Park Complex on the Cullen & Soulliere Fields. The fields are walking distance apart. Both diamonds are lit with grass infields and located at 1051 Prince Rd.
MEETINGS: The pre-Championship meeting is scheduled for 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, at the Holiday Inn & Suites (8th floor –suite 802). Each team is permitted to send two representatives along with their Chef de Mission.
UMPIRES: Umpires should arrive in Windsor by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17. Umpires are asked to attend the opening banquet at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites. Umpire meeting will be held Wednesday evening, August 17. Time T.B.A.
UMPIRE ACCOMMODATIONS: Have been arranged at the Holiday Inn & Suites. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available from August 17-August 21 inclusive. Individual umpires must arrange to cover cost for early arrivals and/or late departures. Please contact Bernie Soulliereat berniebaseball@cogeco.ca or (519) 735-2028 if either applies.
UMPIRE TRANSPORTATION:Has been arranged for pick-up and drop-off at the airport and to and from fields during the championship. A dressing room will be available at the main field.
UMPIRE MEALS: Meal per diems will be issued at your pre-tournament meeting to be held Wednesday evening, August 17 at the Holiday Inn. Time: T.B.A.

GAME TICKETS: Tournament Pass (good for all games) $20.00. Day Pass (round robin) $6.00. Medal Round $8.00. Children 12 and under accompanied by an adult are free.
