Host City
A “platinum” sponsor of the the 2008 Canadian National Junior Baseball Championship Charlottetown has a long history of hosting successful events. In 1864, Charlottetown hosted a conference of political delegates, and from that historic meeting Canada was born. Today, hosting a sporting event in the capital city of Prince Edward Island promises to be as equally historic and exciting. In Charlottetown, we have the drive and determination to make every event hosted in our city a unique success. Our ability to offer a personalized experience like no other makes Charlottetown the natural choice for the 2010 Championship.
Host Province
A “Platinum” sponsor of the 2008 Canadian National Junior Baseball Championship, the Province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) is delighted to be a supporter of this national sporting event. Located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence PEI is Canada’s smallest province. Its size, however, has never held the province back from participating on the national stage. Islanders are tremendously proud of their province, culture and heritage and once an Islander, always an Islander, whether you may be living on the east coast or the west coast. The province encourages all of the tournament’s participants, family members, friends and fans to meet our people, enjoy the scenery, visit our white sandy beaches, play some golf on one of our many spectacular golf courses, taste the Island’s fine cuisine and above all, relax and enjoy the Island’s splendor. We know that you will enjoy your time with us and we hope that you will come back again. To learn more about the Province of PEI visit the province’s website.
Host Town
A “platinum” sponsor of the 2008 Canadian National Junior Baseball Championship the Town of Stratford is the third-largest municipality in Prince Edward Island (PEI) with a population of 7,000 persons. The Town is situated on a peninsula just south of the provincial capital and is bounded by Fullerton's Marsh, the Hillsborough River, Charlottetown Harbour, and the Hillsborough Bay. The Town is well known for its magnificent water views, desirable and peaceful neighbourhoods, rich rural heritage and quality of life. The quality of life in the Town is enhanced by the pride that residents take in their properties, by the abundance and accessibility of recreation programs, the proliferation of municipal parks, the beautiful views of water and pasture land, the number and variety of trees in the community, and the community spirit that is evidenced by the high level of volunteerism.
