Greetings from Spruce Grove, Alberta proud home of the Spruce Grove Minor Baseball Canada Western National PeeWee Championship! Plans are well on their way to ensure this years championship will be a great one.
Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Spruce Grove will be an enjoyable one.
TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials)
Teams must arrive in Spruce Grove by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 21st, 2013.
Players and Coaches are asked to be at Henry Singer Ball Park (135 South Avenue Spruce Grove Industrial Park) at 5:00 pm August 21, 2013 as a short opening ceremonies and a welcome barbecue will take place at 6:00pm . This event is complimentary for Players, Coaches and Managers. Parents and siblings are encouraged and welcome to attend for a $15.00charge per person. Teams are reminded that team pictures are taken at this time so teams are encouraged to wear team attire.

Note: Stony Plain is a 10 minute drive from the baseball diamond in Spruce Grove. For those who wish to stay in Edmonton, it is a 15 minute drive to Spruce Grove.
We encourage all teams and officials to fly into Edmonton International Airport. There are various rental companies that rent 15 passenger vans in Alberta. We encourage each team to make arrangements for all their transportation as soon as possible to ensure transportation for the event.
All games will be played at the Henry Singer Ball Diamonds. Practice fields and batting cages are available. Please contact Debra Hagel to book the times you would like and we will do our best to accommodate all of the teams. Debra Hagel at hageldebra@yahoo.ca.
MEETINGS:
The Pre-Championship Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21 starting at 8:30pm at Henry Singer Ball Diamond. Each team is permitted only to send two (2) reps per team and their provincial representative.
UMPIRES:
Umpires should arrive in Spruce Grove by 4:00 p.m. on August 21, 2013.
Umpires are asked to be at the Spruce Grove Minor Baseball Welcome Barbecue and Opening Ceremonies at Henry Singer Ball Diamond starting at 6:00 p.m. August 21, 2013.
Accommodations for Umpires have been arranged at Motel 6 in Stony Plain. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available and paid by the host committee from August 21 to August 26 (Checking out on the 26th).
