Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be a great one.
Please take the appropriate time to review the outline and details regarding our championship so that your experience in Saskatoon will be an enjoyable one.
TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials)
Teams must arrive in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan by 4:00pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
Players, coaches and managers are asked to be at the Welcome Barbecue at the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon on the Conference Level of Hotel. This is Complimentary for players, coaches & team personnel. Anybody else who wishes to attend can purchase a ticket at the cost of $25. Team Photos will be at 4:30pm, all teams to be in Lobby of the Radisson Hotel in team attire for pictures at this time. Barbeque to start at approximately 6:30pm after team photos.
Accommodations for players are as follows: the team representative must contact the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon at 306-667-2365 and speak with Kaila Hildebrandt. Team manager or coach must contact the hotel before July 10th (Quad rooms-4 players/room). If your team is interested in team meals this should also be discussed with Kaila at this time. Cost for all team meals will be at the teams’ expense.
All arranged accommodations are available from Tuesday, August 4th to Tuesday, August 11th. Should teams wish to arrive earlier or stay longer it will be at their own expense. (Each province has ten (10) rooms set aside at host hotel; the host committee will pay for seven (7) rooms per province for your stay for August 4th to August 11th. The extra three (3) rooms per province need to be confirmed to the hotel representative if you plan on using by July 10th and these rooms are at the teams own expense. If confirmation is not received the hotel will release these rooms on July 13th. A rooming list must be provided to Kaila Hildebrandt. This list will be given to the hotel staff for security purposes.
FIELD FACILITIES INFO:
All games will be played at the J.F. Cairns & Leakos Fields. Cairns field seats 2800 people and Leakos field seats 1500 people. Each field has washrooms, food services, space for equipment storage and concessions stands including food and photos. Practice fields are available and bookings can be made
on a first come first served basis through Dan Asham 306-384-5063 or via email ashamd13@yahoo.ca
TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation will be provided from the airport to the host hotel. Please send a copy of all of your flight information to Linda Connell at linda.connell@usask.ca.
Game day shuttles for players, coaches and team personnel will depart the host hotel two (2) hours prior to game time and return immediately following. Umpires will be provided with their own shuttle service.
Special shuttle arrangements may be made directly with the dispatch service located at J.F.Cairns Field (number will be provided with your registration package).
MEETINGS:
The Pre-Championship Meeting is scheduled for August, 4th at the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon (meeting room TBA) at 8:30pm. Each team is permitted only to send two (2) reps per team.
UMPIRES:
Umpires are asked to be at the Welcome Barbecue at the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon; barbeque starting at 6:30pm on August 4th, 2015.
Accommodations for Umpires have been arranged at the Sheraton Cavalier. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available and paid (room & tax only) by the host committee from August 4th to August 11th. Individual umpires must arrange and cover costs for earlier arrival and later departures. Rooming list must be provided to the hotel by July 13th.
Transportation has been arranged to and from the airport and during the championship for all umpires. Please send your flight information to Linda Connell at linda.connell@usask.ca.
Umpires will receive a Meal Per Diem from the Host Committee upon arrival at the championship. Umpires will each receive a complimentary ticket to the Welcome Barbecue being held on Tuesday, August 4th 6:30 pm at Radisson Hotel conference level floor.
Umpire meeting is TBD.
GAME TICKETS
Prices are as follows:
Day Pass $20.00
Tournament Pass $75.00 - $70.00 if ordered by July 21st (2 weeks prior to the competition). If you are pre-ordering passes at the reduced rate we would appreciate one order per team. These will be available for pickup registration night.
12 & under FREE
Last game of day $10.00
