We are pleased to welcome you to Laval this summer! Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be great one. Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Laval will be an enjoyable one. Once again, we are very pleased to be your hosts for this year’s 2023 Baseball Canada Ray Carter Cup!
Team/Player Information
Arrival: August 23, at 3:00 p.m.
Welcome Event – August 23, at 7:30 p.m., at Place Bell (in Laval)
Pre-Tournament Meeting – August 23, at 6:00 p.m., at Place Bell (in Laval)
Team Photos – Schedule to be determined with teams upon arrival
Opening and Closing Ceremonies
Opening Ceremonies will take place on August 24, at 7:30 p.m. – Paul-Marcel-Maheu park (in Laval)
Closing Ceremonies will take place on August 27, at 9:00 p.m. – Paul-Marcel-Maheu park (in Laval), following the Gold Medal Game
A welcoming reception will be held at the Place Bell in Laval for all teams, starting at 7:30 on Wednesday night, August 23. Transport will be provided to the venue. Please note that no food will be served during the event. Plan for an evening meal before your arrival.
Transportation
Transportation will be provided from the airport to the host hotel. Game day shuttles for players, coaches, and team personnel will be provided to and from the venue before and after games. If teams plan on using their own bus, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Accommodations
Accommodations are pre-booked at Sheraton Hotel Laval for all teams. All arranged accommodations are available from your arrival on August 23 to your departure on August 29.
You must confirm the rooming of all players, coaches and chef de mission no later than Tuesday August 8th 2023. To confirm your rooming, send an email including all names (max 22) and room assignments (who goes in room 1, room 2, …) for all 7 pre-booked rooms to the following email : raycartercup2023@gmail.com. The Host Committee will confirm directly with the hotel.
Each team/federation is responsible for room confirmation with the host.
Note : Breakfast not included
If you need to arrive earlier than the 23rd or depart later than the 29th, you have to arrange additional booking directly with the Sheraton at the following number : 450-687-2440 and ask for Clara Santos or Dragos Aurica. There is no guarantee from the host or the hotel on room availability outside the pre-booked date range.
