BLUE JAYS ADD THREE HONDA SUPER CAMPS

Due to overwhelming demand, the TORONTO BLUE JAYS in partnership with Baseball Canada will conduct three additional Honda SUPER CAMPS as they continue their commitment to Amateur Baseball across Canada. This will now bring the total to 10 scheduled Super Camps, in seven different Provinces across Canada.

In conjunction with title sponsor Honda Canada Inc, the additional camps are scheduled for Regina, Saskatchewan; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Quebec City, Quebec. Currently 75% of the spots have been reserved for the initial seven camps, hence interested parties are encouraged to register as early as possible. At all 10 Super Camp destinations, Blue Jays alumni along side Baseball Canada Coaches, will provide high level instruction to approximately 150 amateur baseball players.

“The response to our initial seven camps has been overwhelming, and with the addition of these three camps we are now able to bring Blue Jays baseball into more communities across Canada. To be able to work with Baseball Canada in this regard is another significant step in our efforts to showcase this great game and reach out to as many youth as possible.”…Stephen Brooks, Senior Vice President, Business Operations.

Each Honda Super Camp, will be three days in length and run from 8am-1pm each day. Each participant will receive top level instruction in all aspects of the game from Baseball Canada and Blue Jays alumni instructors. Registration will be available on bluejays.com/camps, with a cost of $150 per child and will be limited to the first 150 children aged 8-14. In addition, working with local baseball associations, the Toronto Blue Jays, through Jays Care Foundation and the Canadian branch of Baseball Writers Association of America will donate registration fees for a limited number of players in each of the 10 camps to help remove any financial barriers to participation.
