Baseball Canada Announces National Girls in Baseball Week – June 22 to 29, 2025

OTTAWA – Baseball Canada is thrilled to announce the first ever National Girls in Baseball Week, happening from June 22–29, 2025! The week will be a nationwide celebration of the passion, talent, and leadership of girls, women, and gender-diverse individuals who are shaping the future of baseball in Canada.

With growing momentum across the country, National Girls in Baseball Week will highlight the progress made, the stories being written, and the powerful community committed to making baseball more inclusive and empowering for all.

What’s happening during #NGBW25:

  • Calendar of Events Nationwide:
A full list of events from coast-to-coast, from community clinics to all-girls tournaments, will be shared. Clubs, organizations, and partners are encouraged to submit their events (contact info below) to be featured on the national map!
  • Digital Toolkit:
A free, downloadable #NGBW25 digital toolkit will help players, parents, coaches, and fans personalize and amplify their support. The toolkit includes customizable social graphics, posters, suggested captions, and printable resources for local events.
  • Baseball Canada Virtual Event (TBA):
Baseball Canada will host a one-of-a-kind virtual event bringing together voices from across the sport. Details coming soon!
  • Special Contest with Rawlings Canada:
We’re teaming up with Rawlings Canada to run an exclusive #NGBW25 contest during the week! Participants will have the chance to win premium gear and swag by sharing how they’re celebrating girls in baseball – full contest rules will be released soon!
  • Connect with Your PSO:
Reach out to your Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) to explore opportunities for collaboration or let them know about your local plans. We want to spotlight grassroots efforts and make sure every voice is heard.

“This is more than a celebration, it’s a movement,” said Megan Cundari, who manages the Girls and Women’s Development at Baseball Canada. “It’s about championing every girl who wants to pick up a glove, every woman leading from the dugout or the boardroom, and every community trying to make baseball more inclusive. We are inviting Canadians from coast-to-coast, to help build a game where every girl’s passion is met with possibility.”

Get ready to download the toolkit, plan your events, and raise your voice. Don’t forget to follow along and tag your stories using #NGBW25.
