OTTAWA- Junior National Team shortstop Jaden Brown will join an exclusive group of Canadian high school baseball players to participate in the Perfect Game All-American Classic next month in San Diego.
The Mississauga, Ontario native is set to become just the fifth Canadian to play in what is billed as the “premier high school baseball All-Star Game” joining a list that includes Gareth Morgan (2013), Josh Naylor (2014), Adam Hall (2016) and Noah Naylor (2017).
Taking place at San Diego’s Petco Park on August 12th, the contest features some of the top high school talent available for the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft.
As part of the festivities, Brown will have the opportunity to participate in a host of baseball-related and non baseball-related activities including a luncheon with incoming Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, Trevor Hoffman.
Brown joined the Junior National Team program in October 2017 for the annual Fall Instructional League Camp and has since participated in three camps in 2018. He is eligible for the 2019 MLB Draft.
The Perfect Game All-American Classic can be seen live on August 12thon MLB Network beginning at 8pm EDT.
