Three things to watch for in 2014:
2014 Baseball Canada Cup coming to Saskatoon
Baseball Canada’s flagship event, the Baseball Canada Cup featuring some of the nations top 17 and under talent, will take place in Saskatoon August 6th-11th. Saskatoon will also host the event in 2015.
“We are very excited to be hosting this prestigious event again for the next two years and we have no doubt that Saskatoon will put on a great Championship,” said Sask Baseball Executive Director Mike Ramage.
Focus on reviving Girls Baseball Program
Sask Baseball plans to send provincial teams to both the 16U Girls Invitational and the 13U Girls Western Canada Championship in 2014.
Toronto Blue Jays Honda Super Camps
Toronto Blue Jays Honda Super Camps have become so popular in the province that the Jays will be hosting three camps in three different Saskatchewan communities in 2014.
“This will be the first year that we have been granted multiple Super Camps in Saskatchewan,” explained Ramage. “Having three, two-day camps will allow a broader demographic of our Provincial Membership base the opportunity to experience just how great they are and expose them to the fantastic grass roots development being offered by the Toronto Blue Jays.”
Camps are scheduled for Lloydminster (August 17, 18), Regina (August 18, 19) and Saskatoon (August 19, 20). To register, visit bluejays.com/baseballacademy
