DUNEDIN, FL - The Men’s National Team Training Camp is underway at Toronto Blue Jays Player Development Complex. The camp features two workouts and two scrimmage games against the Ft. Lauderdale Stars, in preparation for the 2023 Pan Am Qualifier next week in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The winner of the five-team tournament will earn a spot in the 2023 Pan Am Games baseball competition in Santiago, Chile from October 21-27.
June 12 Notes:
o The Canadian offence scored eight runs on thirteen hits, including four extra base hits.
o Karl Gélinas (Laval, QC) tossed two scoreless innings permitting no hits and no walks.
o RJ Freure (Burligton, ON) worked a solid inning in relief permitting only a hit and striking out one.
o Ryan Kellog (Whitby, ON) and Landen Bourassa (Lethbridge, AB) led the team in strikeouts for the game, both collecting four strikeouts over two innings apiece.
o Jacob Robson (Windsor, ON) had a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish, finishing the day with 2RBI’s and a stolen base.
