Baseball Canada is thrilled to announce a partnership with renowned Athletic Development Specialist Jeff Krushell that will see his Creating Coachable Players program available through Baseball Canada’s NCCP coach education management system.

Baseball coaches will have the opportunity to learn from Jeff in an interactive, online environment ultimately gaining knowledge and expertise to positively impact the athletes they’re working with.

With extensive experience in sport performance and athlete development, Jeff Krushell has worked across all levels of sport, from grassroots programs to professional leagues. His career includes roles in Major League Baseball, the NHL, and professional football, including serving as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist for the Toronto Blue Jays and the former Edmonton Eskimos. He has also shared his expertise with Baseball Canada’s National Teams program.

“Jeff has been a tremendous asset to all of the athletes and programs he’s been involved with throughout the world including Baseball Canada, so we’re excited to introduce him to a broader group of baseball coaches in Canada,” said Baseball Canada CEO Jason Dickson. “The level of information and detail in Jeff’s Creating Coachable Players program is incredible and will undoubtably bring your coaching knowledge to another level.”

Jeff built this program specifically for coaches to help prepare their athletes for the game of baseball, to create more adaptable, robust, durable, and ultimately more coachable players, at the same time as reducing the risk of injury and laying the foundation for your athletes' long-term success.

For years, coaches have sought a resource like this from Jeff. Now, Baseball Canada is proud to partner with him to bring this development program to our coaches, providing access to industry-leading athlete and player development strategies.

“In all my years working with some of the game's best players I can’t help but wonder how much better they could be if they had learned some of this stuff when they were ten, eleven or twelve or even thirteen, fourteen or fifteen,” said Krushell.

“Can you imagine if we properly develop and manage baseball athletes over the years as they grow, develop and mature? I don’t think it has ever been done. Canada has produced some of the best players to ever play the game – just imagine what it looks like when we properly prepare our players for the game as athletes – I’ll tell you what you get, I’ve seen it firsthand - you get fewer injuries and more coachable players.

This is what the program is all about, sharing with coaches how we are developing baseball athletes who can then go on to be coached to new heights as players.”
