Register today for the 2020 Baseball Canada National Teams Awards Banquet & Fundraiser!

OTTAWA- Canadian baseball stars from the past, present and future will take centre stage on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 as the 18th annual Baseball Canada National Teams Awards Banquet & Fundraiser, presented by Rogers is set to take place at the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel inside Rogers Centre.

Former American League Most Valuable Player Justin Morneau, Atlanta Braves rookie sensation and 2019 MLB All-Star Mike Soroka will be joined by current big leaguers Josh Naylor (San Diego Padres), Tyler O’Neill (St. Louis Cardinals) and Rowan Wick (Chicago Cubs) as confirmed guests for the evening with proceeds supporting Baseball Canada’s Senior and Junior National Teams.

Coming off an impressive season with the Senior National Team, hurler Phillippe Aumont, who recently inked a contract with the Toronto Blue Jays, headlines an impressive group of alumni attendees including Andrew Albers, Jeff Francis, Chris Leroux, Scott Mathieson, Pete Orr, Scott Richmond, Jamie Romak and Adam Stern.

Senior National Team Manager Ernie Whitt along with coaches Paul Quantrill and Tim Leiper will be in attendance as well with Baseball Canada eyeing a spot in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

Baseball Canada President Jason Dickson will join Toronto Blue Jays President Mark Shapiro as distinguished guests for the evening that will celebrate past accomplishments while fostering future successes.

In addition to the annual awards presentation, the evening will include a cocktail hour (beginning at 6pm ET) and silent auction featuring unique fantasy sports packages from the likes of former MLB All-Star Ryan Dempster (Chicago Cubs), Junior National Team alum and current Seattle Seahawks tight-end Luke Willson, tickets to the MLB All-Star Game Home Run Derby, NCAA college football games along with several autographed pieces of baseball memorabilia.

There will be a pre-banquet press conference beginning at 3:30pm ET, Saturday, January 11th, in the Aurora Room of the Marriott City Centre Hotel at Rogers Centre (Aurora Room is adjacent to the Northern Lights Ballroom).

Tickets to the event are $500 per person and tables of eight and ten guests are also available for purchase. Baseball Canada has registered charitable status.
