OTTAWA – Baseball Canada today announced the athletes that will be in Ottawa from July 3-7 to compete in the Women’s National Team Selection Camp.

With the national team readying to compete in the 2024 WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Finals in Thunder Bay from July 28 to August 3rd, Selection Camp will serve as an opportunity for the athletes to earn one of 20 spots available.
Canada will be led by Head Coach Anthony Pluta (Victoria, BC) who guided the squad to a second place finish at the 2023 WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group A stage, also held in Thunder Bay
“The talent across this country is incredible so I anticipate a highly competitive camp where athletes can showcase their abilities in front of our coaching staff,” said Pluta.
Pluta will be joined by returning coaches Patricia Landry (St-Étienne-des-Grés, QC) and Kate Psota (Burlington, ON) while guest coaches include Jennifer Gilroy (Mississauga, ON) and Samantha Magalas (Burlington, ON).
