Welcome to the 2010 Midget AAA Canadian Championships hosted by the London Badgers, London District Baseball Association and the St. Thomas Cardinals! We wish all teams the best of luck and hope you enjoy our beautiful city!
Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in London will be an enjoyable one.
TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials)
Teams must arrive in London by 4:00pm on Wednesday, August 18th, 2010.
There will be a “Welcome Reception” at 6:00 p.m. at the Forest City National Golf Course for all participants and officials. Buses will leave Perth Hall at 5:30pm sharp.
TEAM ACCOMODATIONS
All players, coaches and managers will be housed in the Perth Hall at the University of Western Ontario. Players will be housed 2 per room with each player receiving their own bed.
All arranged accommodations are for 6 nights from Wednesday August 18th to Monday August 23rd with team departures on the morning of Tuesday August 24tht. Teams that choose to arrive prior to August 18th or stay after August 24th are responsible for the extra costs incurred. Teams are required to contact the Perth Hall Housing Director (Ruth Harland– rharland@housing.uwo.ca) to book your rooms. A full rooming list will be required.
All meals are the responsibility of each player, coach and manager. Please note there is a buffet style meal plan available at Perth Hall for $38.00 per participant and can be booked through Ruth Harland as well.
TRANSPORTATION
We encourage all teams and officials to fly into London International Airport to enable us to provide you with transportation from London International Airport to the Hotel. Buses will transport all teams and coaching staff from the airport to their accommodation at the Hotel. Please contact Mike Lumley to advise of arrival and departure times. FIELD LOCATIONS
Games will be played at North Americas Oldest Ball Park – Labatt Memorial Park, Dan Pulham Memorial Field and Emslie Field in St. Thomas. MEETINGS
The Pre-Championship Meeting is at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18th at the Forest City National Golf Course. Each team is permitted to send three (3) coaches per team and their provincial representative.

UMPIRES
Umpires should arrive in London by 4:00 p.m. on August 18th, 2010.
Umpires are asked to be at the Welcome Event on Wednesday August 18th, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Forest City National Golf Club. Shuttle bus will take the umpires from their accommodation (5:20pm sharp) to the event and from the event back to the hotel. The Umpire meeting will start at 8:00pm at the Forest City National Golf Club.
Accommodations for Umpires has also been arranged at The Four points Sheraton. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available and paid by the host committees from August 18th to August 23rd (6 nights). If departing prior to the 30th, please advise one of the Co-Chairs.
Umpires will receive a Meal Per Diem from the Host Committee upon arrival at the championship.
Individual umpires must arrange and cover costs for earlier arrival and later departures. Transportation has been arranged to and from the airport and during the championship for all umpires and teams. Please advise the Tournament Chair if you will be traveling in your own bus and will not require this service. Please be advised that Emslie Field is approximately 20min outside the city of London and there is no local transit that goes to this location.

Each beautifully appointed guestroom contains a 32” HD flat screen TV, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and data port hook-up. The king suites located in the main building and also the tower king suites contain a separate living room with sofa bed, an additional TV, desk/work area and fridge. The tower double suites have 2 double beds plus sofa (not pullout) in separate living room.

The hotel has also provided one complimentary hospitality room for all the parents’ and guests attending Midget National Tournament. This room is intended for you to have a little fun and get to know some of the other fans from the Tournament.

Your room rate will be blocked under London Midget Nationals.
Cancellation Policy: cancellations within the group will be accepted up to a minimum of 7 days prior to arrival as stated on the Group Reservation Contract. After Tuesday, August 3, 2010, cancellation of one night or early checkout will result in a charge of 50% of the room rate and applicable taxes for the nights cancelled.
