Greetings from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland!
The City of Mount Pearl is located on the Avalon Peninsula in the beautifully scenic province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Mount Pearl is one of the largest communities in the province and it borders on the capital city of St. John’s. Mount Pearl is a community that thrives on active living with numerous parks, playgrounds, walking trails and recreation facilities including the state-of-the-art fitness and aquatics complex, the Mount Pearl Summit Centre. Visitors to Mount Pearl can also enjoy shopping and dining at one of the many restaurants.

Teams:
Teams playing in the evening must be in St. John’s, by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 7th, 2016.
Accommodations:
The host hotel is the Holiday Inn located at 180 Portugal Cove Road in St. John’s. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for the players/coaches.
All team rooms are booked for arrival on September 7 and departure on September 13. Team managers are urged to book the teams rooms at their earliest convenience possible convenience.
Payment for all accommodations is the responsibility of the travelling teams.

Transportation:
Teams who are flying in will arrive at St. John’s International Airport (YYT), which is approximately 10 minutes from the hotel.
Transportation to the host hotel and all local travel, including transportation to and from the fields, is the responsibility of the travelling teams.
Pre-Championship Meeting:
The Pre-Championship Meeting for officials and coached will take place at 7:30pm on Wednesday, September 7th at the Team Gushue Building on Arena Road, Mount Pearl
Tournament Games:
All Games will be played at Team Gushue Field on Arena Road and St. Peter’s Field on Munden Drive in Mount Pearl. Both fields have lighting. There will be washrooms and concessions available at the fields. Baseball Canada merchandise will also be available for purchase.
Opening Ceremonies:
Opening ceremonies will be held at the fields at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8. All teams are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to prepare for marching in. Please be in full uniform and bring your provincial flag.
Banquet:
The Championship Banquet will be held on the evening of Friday, September 9 Kenmount Park Community Centre at 25 Holden Street, Mount People at 7:00pm. This will be dress casual so players need not wear their uniforms.

Umpires Information:
Umpires should arrive in St. John’s by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7 and are encouraged to attend the Championship Banquet on Friday, September 9.
Seven rooms for Umpires and Baseball Canada representatives have been booked at the Ramada 8 Hotel located at 102 Kenmount Road in St. John’s. All rooms are booked for arrival on September 7 and departure on September 13. Individual umpires must arrange and cover costs for earlier arrival and later departures.
The Umpire Supervisor must provide a room assignments to the hotel prior to arrival.
