13U National Championship Home Run Derby

• Each team will submit 1 (one) player as their representative home run hitter.
• The players will be set into their respective East & West Divisions.
• Players will play within their divisional bracket in rounds 1 and 2. The final round will be head-to-head between the East and West champions

Round 1

• A random drawing will take place to position players in a head-to-head competition within their division
• All participants receive 1:30 (m:s) to hit as many home runs as possible.
• Any fair ball that lands over the fence in fair territory is a home run.
• In the event of a head-to-head tie each participant will be given 5 additional pitches. If there is a tie following the additional pitches a coin toss will determine the winner.
• The three head-to-head winners in each bracket advance to round 2

Round 2

• Batting order will be determined by number of Home Runs hit in first round with the lowest total number hitting first
• The 3 participants in each division receive 1:30 (m:s) to hit as many home runs as possible.
• Any fair ball that lands over the fence in fair territory is a home run.
• At the end of the 2nd Round, the participant with the most home runs will advance to the final and represent their division.
• In the event of a tie each participant that is tied will be given 5 additional pitches. If there is a tie following the additional pitches a coin toss will determine the winner.

Final Round

• The 2 final participants (East vs West) receive 1:30 (m:s) to hit as many home runs as possible.
• Batting order will be determined by total Home Runs hit in first and second rounds with the lowest total number hitting first.
• Any fair ball that lands over the fence in fair territory is a home run
• At the end of the Final Round, the participant with the most home runs in that round is awarded the 2023 13U Home Run Derby Champion.
• In the event of a tie each participant will be given 5 additional pitches. If there is a tie following the additional pitches, the participants will each receive 5 additional pitches until a home run derby winner is determined.
