Pre-Tournament Meeting

9:30 PM on Wednesday August 9th at the Capital Hotel boardroom. Maximum of 2 representative per team.

 

Opening Ceremonies

Wednesday August 9 at 6:00 PM at St. Pat’s Ball Park, teams should arrive by 5:30 and are not required to be in uniform. There will be an Opening Ceremonies and Home Run derby. Each team will nominate one batter and one pitcher for the derby. It is open to the public; we will be accepting donations for local food banks for admission.

There will be food and beverages provided for the players, coaches, officials and volunteers. Food and beverage will be available for purchase as well.

The host hotel is for athletes, coaches, and officials. The room rate is $124.00 per night

plus tax. Each team has 8 rooms reserved and team reservations can be confirmed by

contacting Garry Stamp at the Capital Hotel. Teams will be required to submit rooming

lists prior to the event.

Double Room $205 plus tax per night

King Bed $195 plus tax per night

Transportation

Bus transportation package is optional, each team will be responsible for the cost of the bus transportation package. We will also have some shuttle vehicles onsite to assist where possible and in the event of an emergency.

The bus transportation package includes this following (Cost to be confirmed).

• To/From the Airport
• To/From the games
• To/From Opening Ceremonies
• To/From Championship Game / Closing Ceremonies

For teams that avail of the bus service will be assigned a school bus and a driver for the event. Parents and families are able to travel on the buses as well. Teams and families can utilize the bus company for sightseeing tours and other needs for an additional cost. Rates will vary depending on the request.

 

Food and Beverage

There is a restaurant located at the Capital hotel. There will be a canteen onsite at St. Pat’s Ball Park (Field 1) that includes a BBQ. The menu includes Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Sausages, Fries, Soft Drinks, Water, Bars, Chips, Gum, Seeds, etc.

There will also be a beer garden sponsored by Molson Coors for those 19+ at St. Pat’s Ball Park.

Teams will be provided with a cooler, ice, and bottled water in the dugout for each game.

 

General

• Each team will be assigned a bat girl(s). This information will be shared pretournament.
• There will be Player of the Game Awards for each game selected by the Host Committee.
• Attain Physiotherapy and Sports Performance will be onsite during the event. We will also have trained nurses and First Aid available. https://attainphysiosport.ca
• Batting Cages will be assigned for teams before each game.
• Batting Cage time can be made available upon request for Wednesday August 9 at St.Pat’s Ball Park (Field 1) and practice time can be made available on Wednesday August 9 at Field 3 (Wishingwell Park).
• There will be a tournament photographer. Team photos will be coordinate, and each team will be provided with a team photo. Players/Teams will also have the opportunity to purchase action shots from the tournament.
