Greetings from the 2026 Baseball Canada Women’s National Organizing Committee!

We are pleased to welcome you to Winnipeg this summer! Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be great one. Please take the appropriate time to review the outlined details regarding our championship so that your experience in Winnipeg will be an enjoyable one. Once again, we are very pleased to be your hosts for this year’s Baseball Canada Women’s National!

Opening and Closing Ceremonies

Opening Ceremonies will take place on July 9 at CWB Field – time is TBD
Closing Ceremonies will take place on July 12 following the Gold Medal Game

Transportation

For those teams planning on using their own bus or vehicles, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. For those teams planning to utilize the host transportation: transportation will be provided from the airport to the host hotels, and game day shuttles for players, coaches, and team personnel will be provided to and from the venue and host hotels before and after games.

Accommodations

Room blocks at hotels are set aside by the host however teams/provincial offices are responsible for managing their respective hotel blocks. If you are unsure of your hotel situation, it is recommended to reach out to your provincial baseball association as they have been in contact with the hosts and/or Baseball Canada to block rooms.

Accommodations for the event will be at the Fairfield Inn and Suites and Residence Inn by Marriot

Note: The second week of July is host to many large events in Winnipeg, which has caused a rise in hotel prices. These host hotels are in a safe neighborhood, share a parking lot and provide a convenient location for the players in relation to the airport, shopping and restaurants. They offer a high-quality breakfast for all people in the rooms (included in the room rate). We understand that more affordable hotels may be available in the area, however we were less than satisfied with the room options, breakfast options and the inherent safety risks, at those locations, that may be endured by the players coaches.

*As a reminder, teams not utilizing the provided hotel options will be responsible for their own transportation for the event.
