The home-run derby will kick off festivities once against prior to the umpire's call of "Play Ball" on Wed. evening at 6:30 p.m. at Beazley Field. Each team will designate their slugger to try and hit some dingers over the inviting wall at home-run beckoning Beazley Field. Last year's winner of the derby, Dartmouth Moosehead Dry slugger and Nova Scotia all-time home-run king, Darren Doucette, will be back to defend his crown. Once again, a monetary reward will be offered to the leading home-run hitter.
Fans, we haven't forgotten about you. Some prizes will be available for you to win during the contest as the host team, the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry, will team up with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation , to make your evening even more enjoyable.
