2023 13U National Western ChampionshipsAug 17-20 Fort McMurray, Alberta(Fort McMurray, AB, August 8, 2023) – The community is invited to attend the Opening Ceremony for the 2023 Baseball Canada 18U National Championship and 13U National Western Championship presented by Diversified Transportation Ltd. on Wednesday, August 16 at 6:00 pm at Legacy Dodge Field at Shell Place (MacDonald Island Park). There is no charge to attend the opening ceremony, which is an opportunity to welcome athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators from across Canada to the region. Gates will open at 5:15 pm for the Opening Ceremony.
Both tournaments are taking place in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo from August 17-20. 10 teams of elite-level 18 and under athletes from across the country will participate in the 2023 Baseball Canada 18U National Championship presented by Diversified Transportation Ltd. at Legacy Dodge Field at Shell Place and Ross Hennigar Ball Park, and 8 teams of 13 and under players will participate in the 2023 Baseball Canada 13U National Western Championship presented by Diversified Transportation Ltd. at the Bob Campbell Field at MacDonald Island Park and the Howard Pew Park ball diamond.
Day and tournament passes are also now on sale for the 2023 Baseball Canada 18U National Championship and the 2023 Baseball Canada 13U National Western Championship presented by Diversified Transportation Ltd. Tournament passes and day passes can be purchased online at macdonaldisland.ca/events. Tournament passes provide full access to all games at both tournaments, and day passes provide access to all games at both tournaments on the specific date of the day pass.
