Baseball Canada 18U Championships
Coaticook, Sherbrooke and Magog QC
August 13 to 17, 2015

Teams: Athletes, coaches and mission chiefs.


Teams should arrive in Sherbrooke before 4 PM on Wednesday August 12, 2015.

The 22 members of each team (18 players, 3 coaches and 1 mission chief) will be lodged in one of two, “Hôtels Delta” hotels: www.deltahotels.com

Lodging will be available from Wednesday, August 12 to Sunday August 16, 2015; inclusively. The province who will take a plane for 18 August, 17 august will be available for you.

Transportation will be provided for all team members and is available to and from the airport as well as between the hotels and playing fields (to and from) also for special events. Any teams that have their own buses will be expected to use them during the championship for their own transportation.
We request that teams confirm their travel plans (plane-bus-train) along with their expected arrival time in Sherbrooke, 30 days before the championship.


Teams will be responsible for their own meals during the championships.

The opening diner is at the Cage aux Sports wendsday 12 august, the service is at 18:00H.  The guests should be arriving at 17:30H at the restaurant.


All games will be played at the ”Stade Julien Morin” in Coaticook, at at the ”Stade Amédée Roy” in Sherbrooke or “parc de l’Est in Magog. All these venues are within a 30 minute drive radius.

There will be a pre-tournament meeting on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at the “Hotels Delta”. Exact time and in which conference room: to be determined.

Mealplan

In partnership with La Cage Aux Sports, located in the lobby of the hotel, a mealplan (lunch and dinner) has been created. Mealplan will cost 39,00$ +tx per day per person for the lunch and dinner in restaurant. Lunch boxes will also be available. Here is the mealplan:

Option #1

¼ BBQ chicken. Chef’s choice. Served with fries, coleslaw and BBQ sauce

Option #2

The Cuban sandwich, Slices of roasted turkey breast, Swiss cheese, dill pickle and chipotle mayonnaise, served with fries

Option #3

Spaghetti with meat sauce served with Garlic ciabatta topped with melted cheese

Option #4

Quesadillas, Roasted chicken, cheddar, fresh tomato salsa and green onions. Served with salad or fries

Dinner

Option #1

Chicken Kebab, Pieces of marinated chicken breast wrapped in bacon, green peppers, onions, vegetable basmati rice and fries

Half Rack of BBQ ribs served with coleslaw and fries.

Option #3

½ BBQ Chicken, served with fries, coleslaw and BBQ sauce

Option #4

Blitz Burger, 100% Canadian beef patty, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and house sauce, served with fries.

Accompanying adults and parents:

Accompanying adults and parents can plan for their accommodations through the official hotels of the championships at: www.deltahotels.com or communicate with François Lemire at: flemire@videotron.qc.ca


Ticket prices are as follows: $10.00 per day (access to all 3 participating parks) or you can purchase an open pass that will allow access to all 3 parks for the duration of the championships, at a cost of $30.00. Cost per game will be $5.00. For children under the age of 12, when accompanied by an adult, admission is free.

Each will receive a $40.00 per diem for each day that they are participating in the championships.

There will be another pre-tournament meeting, specifically for umpires at the “Hotel Delta”. Exact time and in which conference room: to be determined.

Changing rooms are available at each of the 3 playing fields for the use of umpires.
