OTTAWA – Phillippe Aumont (Gatineau, QC), Cale Iorg (Toronto, ON) and Taylor Green (Courtenay, BC) are bringing some hardware home after their Peoria Javelinas defeated the Phoenix Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League Final on Saturday.

The Javelinas defeated the Desert Dogs 5-4 in front of 3,521 fans in Scottsdale Stadium, ending the Desert Dogs five year run of dominance in the AFL.

Helping Phoenix to try and win its sixth consecutive AFL title was Adam Loewen (Surrey, BC), who played in 19 games for the Desert Dogs.

In the AFL season Iorg, a prospect with the Detroit Tigers, appeared in 17 games, hitting .217 with two home runs, five RBI, two doubles and five stolen bases.

Aumont, who was selected 11th overall by the Seattle Mariners in the 2007 MLB Draft, went 1-1 in 10 appearances. He struck out 18 in 12 innings of work overall while being named one of the AFL's Rising Stars.

Green, a prospect in the Milwaukee Brewers organization, hit .212 in 16 games with one home run, six RBI and one double.

As for Loewen, he hit .200 with two home runs, nine RBI and a double.
