Baseball Canada would like to congratulate Junior National Team grad and Arizona State freshman Ryan Kellogg (Whitby, ON) for throwing a no-hitter tonight against Oregon State in Corvallis, Oregon.
Kellogg was in top form tossing 110 pitches without giving up a walk as ASU blanked OSU 4-0. Two ASU errors, one in the 7th inning and the other in 8th, accounted for Oregon State’s only two base runners of the game.
The no-hitter was only the eighth thrown in ASU history and first since 1993 and is the first in school history against a Pac-10/12 team.
Oregon State also happens to be the No. 3 ranked team in the nation and the loss was only their second of the season and first in conference play.
Kellogg is now 5-0 on the season for an ASU team that is 13-6-1 and ranked No. 20 in the nation.
