Job Opportunity: PROGRAMS - SUMMER INTERN

The Programs Summer Intern is primarily responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administrative operations of Baseball Canada Programs, primarily the nine National Championships and the national coaching program. 

Applicants in the field (but not limited to) of Sport Management, Communications, Recreation Management, Human Kinetics, Health Education, Public Administration and other related fields would benefit from this experience. 

Position Details: 

  • 12-week paid internship from June 1 to August 28, 2026 (exact dates flexible, dependent on candidate’s schedule). 35 hours per week Monday-Friday, $17.60/hour 
  • In-person at the Baseball Canada office, with potential for occasional remote work 
  • This role is funded by Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ), eligibility for the role follows CSJ requirements 

 

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the coordination of Baseball Canada’s nine National Championships Roster management, schedule management, team communication, merchandise and shipments, liaising with hosting committees, preparing manuals and documentation, etc.
  • Admin support with the management of the national coaching program and coaching systems (nccp.baseball.ca, thelocker.coach.ca) 
  • Admin support with the management of the national umpiring program and system in relation to National Championships, and the national scorekeeping program 
  • Assist with the communication with officials and supervisors attending National Championships 
  • Assist in updating and creating program materials and resources 
  • Various data entry and archival projects 
  • Additional duties as assigned 

 

Skills Required: 

  • Open mindedness and self-motivated 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Passion for sport 
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills 
  • Website management experience 
  • Experience in the general sport industry 
  • Completed or working towards a post-secondary diploma required, preference in a related field 
  • Be proficient in MS Office and Google Suite programs. Canva and Adobe proficiency are assets. 
  • The ability to speak and write both official languages is an asset but not imperative
